We are so excited to share our first blog post with you, and are looking forward to an exciting Spring Term in Year 2!
This term we are going to be looking at Holidays in the past and comparing how they have changed – thank you to everyone who has already sent in photographs and souvenirs to share in our history lesson next week from your holidays! We are really looking forward to hearing all about your exciting trips 🙂
This week was World Book Day and we read the book Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers. We linked this to the song What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, as our theme this term in school is Diversity. The children wrote some beautiful poems based on the song, changing the words, which we have displayed in the front entrance.
It was lovely to be able to use our school library and have some quiet reading time too!
